1. Reflecting on Of Mice and Men
a. George thought Lennie was just going to be not useful. George thought that Lennie was just going to be going around and killing living things. George thought the best way to get rid of this problem was by killing Lennie. So he shot him in the back of his head.

b. My opinion about George killing Lennie is that George could have done something else. Both, Lennie and George, they could have ran away to another place and put Lennie in an institution. That could have been a better place for Lennie, he would not get hurt or killed by other people. After that George could have gone all by himself to another town and start fresh again. It probably is the best thing that can happen to George because if would have taken Lennie with him that would be more problems for him.

2. Father in Italy Accused of Murder
a. Beppino Englaro, father of Eluana Englaro, he had performed euthanasia on his 38 year old daughter. Beppinio Englaro had said his daughters preference was to die without the feeding tubes. It would have been preferable for to be kept off the feeding tubes. That is what she wanted. Beppino had lost hope because she was in a coma for 17 years.

b. I agree with Beppino in making the decision of taking his daughter of the feeding tubes. Eluana did not want to be kept alive by feeding tubes, her wish was to disconnect the feeding tubes.Beppino had lost a a lot of money just trying to feed his daughter while she is sleeping. The court had accepted the fact that Eluana Englaro's wish was to die without the feeding tubes. Afterall, that is what she wanted.

3. Man Kills Family after Losing his Job
a. Mr. Lupoe was very paranoid about not being able to take care of his family. He lost hope about not being able to start his career again. The mom had lost hope too. Both parents decided to kill themselves and the children. That way they have no kinds of problems, as in social or financial.
b. Some support that parents should give to their children should be to learn how to not give up in life. If the children get themselves into a problem, either financial, relationships, or social, they have to know what to do in a situation like that. That way, children wont go and do the same thing Mr. Lupoe did, which was to kill his family just because he got fired. Sometimes it can help to take advice, that way people can be successful in life.

4. After reading Of Mice and Men and the two news articles, what is your stance on euthanasia? Is "mercy" killing a legitimate way to ending someones life? List any exceptions, if you have any.
In my point of view euthanasia is wrong. It is bad because some people just loose hope. Or other people just do it because that is a persons wish. Like in article number 2, the father of a 38 year old woman had lost hope and he also claims his daughters wish was to die performing euthanasia. or like in article 3, Mr. Lupoe and his wife had lost hope because they got fired. They thought their only choice was to die. So, Mr. Lupoe, father of five children, killed the children, his wife, and then performed suicide.
