1. Was it OK for George to encourage Lennie to fight Curley? Could there have been another solution? If so, be clear about what that solution might have been.


I think it was not OK for George to encourage Lennie to fight. George does not really know how to fight. George could have gotten hurt and then George would be feeling bad. George could have gotten really hurt. if he gets in a fight there might be some problems between them and they are not going to be able to work together in the same place. It can get really hard for them.

2. It's true that Lennie doesn't TRY to get into trouble, but he always does anyway. Considering this, do you think Lennie should be working at all? Should he be in a special institution away from society?

Even though Lennie gets into trouble a lot he should not be sent away into a institution. That just takes him away from the real world. He can learn how to get along with other people. Even though Lennie is disabled he is still capable to do the same as others. Even though he gets into trouble a lot George always takes care of him and when he gets into trouble George tries to get Lennie out the trouble that he has gotten into.

3. Curley is a boss like his dad, which is probably why he has to be mean to his workers. Without being aggressive and showing his power, do you think would he still get respect from his workers?

I think that if Curley was not mean and aggressive the worker would be goofing around and not be doing their work the right way. Curley has to be aggressive because if he is not the workers might not respect him or treat him like a boss. They might try to take advantage of him if he was not mean and aggressive.

4. In your opinion, do you think it's OK that Curley's Wife flirts with Slim?

I think it is wrong for Curley's wife to be flirting with Slim. If Curley would flirt around with other girls curley's wife would get mad. That is also wrong because she just makes it seem like if she doesn't love him.
